Im not sure about all you others, but after seeing turnbow's first few pitches that inning i wasnt scared. This year atleast..it seems as if he totally has it and good command or he has nothing, but no inbetween. Maybe Yost should start using an even shorter leash on him on nights it seems he doesnt have it....but i suppose that could destroy his confidence.

haha, no wonder why garner kept jennings in so long..

Prince, you are truly the king.

And Turnbow, I'll still take you as our set-up man any day.

And now Billy stays hot! This is a fun team to watch right now.

EDIT: WTG Estrada!

Closers tend to be very polarizing figures which I think goes a long way to explaining the widespread Turnbow anxiety.

If Weeks was healthy and slotted in second behind Hart this line-up would remind me a lot of the mid 90's Indians when they had the good Omar Vizquel in between Alomar and Lofton and had 3 guys pushing .400 OBPs with speed setting the table for Thome and Rameriez.

Is that a Badger Mutual Insurance Run?

It's the Webb's Burger Run. Stop by your neighborhood George Webb's and pick up 6 burgers for $5.

And people think Ned leaves his pitchers in too long? Is Garner asleep?

My sincerest apologies to Phil. With this bullpen, I'm surprised he didn't let Jennings throw 140.

He thought it hopped the fence so he was just trotting around.

Jenkins hit a screamer that Berkman looked like he'd catch but it went over his head. Ueck actually sounded like he was going to call it a catch and then changed his tone in a hurry. Estrada had to hold - probably thought the same thing as Ueck.

Velocity still in the mid 90s in the 8th and 9th, good stuff. Congrats Manny!

Right after Brian finishes saying that the Cardinals lost, Bill says that the Cards are tied and headed into extra innings. Thanks for your up-to-the-second analysis, Bill.
