Does Coco get booed this week?

Based on past history, if he gets into a game (and i am hoping he doesn't) I think he isn't going to get a warm reception. Personally I have no problem in giving him some applause when he enters, and then hope the brewers kick his butt. He did really well for us and he took more money which just about anyone else in his position would of done as well. What will everyone do this week if he enters from the right field bullpen?

He will definitely get booed. Carlos Lee gets booed and he took an offer that was MUCH higher than what we offered. In Coco's case he took a higher offer but it wasn't all that much higher. Add in the fact that if Coco is in the game it is most likely that we are losing and there will be plenty of boos to be heard.

definitely should boo him. He stabbed the Brewers in the back over peanuts. At least with Lee, he had reason to leave.

I agreee with Rillo. His situation is much different than Lee. Lee took a deal that was more than twice what we offered. We also traded Lee away. CoCo took an offer only 2M? more than ours and didn't ask us to match or beat it. Lee also isn't only used for when the Astros our ahead of us.

I plan on booing him like any good opponent. I prefer not to give him a reason to come into the game.

i think i would cheer him only out of appreciation for what he did in the year and a half he was here. i understand that he took only about an extra million to sign with a team that is inferior to the crew. he really stabilized a very unstable pen for the year and half he was there. i just think this city booes its past brewers to liberally.

I would agree. But I do think that this instance of booing can be more easily justified based on the reasons stated above. I personally am not a booer, but if he does enter and is booed, I'll likely have a wry smile on my face, nodding my head in approval.

As far as booing Jenkins, that would be a travesty in my opinion. The guy played his heart out, but the team had no intentions of resigning him. I hope, after his classy exit in the last game of the year, the fans would refrain from booing him.

I think I would respond with a brief polite golf clap. However, I would not be disappointed if "Take the Money and Run" were played as he entered.

Like others, I ultimately would prefer that he not be needed this series.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

He will get booed, and it will be loud. Miller Park fans boo guys like Wes Helms and Jeromy Burnitz. It seems like people in Milwaukee boo anyone who used to play for the Brewers no matter the circumstances. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Jenkins get booed.

Wait until Jenkins comes back...

Oh, I'm already waiting on those boo-birds.

I don't see how Jenkins gets it. First of all everyone knew in the stadium that last game of the year he wasn't coming back and gave him a huge ovation. I am planning on going to both games of the series and cheering for him until he takes that first pitch. He had an option for this year that the team opted out of, completely not his fault he is not here.

It was the Brewers that declined Jenkins' option. He handled it like the pro he is, with class. The few boobirds will be drowned out by those cheers from fans who appreciated his putting it on the line for a decade as a Brewer.

I'd cheer him. Thank goodness he jumped on Cincy's offer or else the Brewers would be stuck with that albatross for years.

Coco will, and SHOULD, get booed. I can only make it to the July 12/13 games. I will be booing louder than anyone I have ever booed in my life. (I'm not much of a booer either.) The chump left a legit contender to go to a team that is NOT the same caliber as the Brewers for $4M more before the Brewers were able to match the offer. What makes this even worse is the fact that he said he liked being a Brewer and wanted to be one......LIAR! This would be like if Ortiz left the Red Sox (one of the best at his particular position) to go to this year's Tampa squad. A move in the division to a team not as good. Imagine the roar that would receive?! Cordero obviously doesn't care about winning because Cincy hasn't been a contender forever, nor will they be until they unload some of their terrible contracts.

If I was going, I would boo him. If he comes in for a save situation, the crowd needs to pester him as much as possible--home field advantage!!!

The only former Brewer that I'll boo is Sheffield. For Coco, do we really know how much he even knew about the negotiations? And anyone that's even thinking of booing Jenkins is a flat-out idiot. You don't boo a guy that stuck with the team for years, gave us a million memories, and left because the team cut him loose. I swear, if I'm at a game against the Phillies and someone around me boos for Jenkins, whatever is in my hand will be thrown.

Edit: I should clarify; I don't mind booing for Coco since he represents the idea that the Brewers are losing and probably one inning away from a loss. I just don't like the idea of booing him for "what he did to us".

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

I'm thinking of giving him a dollar while he's warming up in the bullpen if he intentionally blows a save. I'm guessing he'll take it.

I would boo also, but if anyone thinks he was just a avg. closer for us is not accurate. He was a lights out closer for us. Im glad we didn't offer him as much money as he wanted tho. And anyone who boos Jenkins should be tossed from Miller Park
