I was just eating lunch at Memorial Union (at UW-Madison) and upon seeing more than the usual number of people wearing Twins swag...got rather jealous. I want a turn!

Sorry, that's kind of veering off topic.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

That's actually my selfish reason for not wanting the Twins to win. I can't stand seeing all the Twins garb on the UW Campus. I'm sooo jealous.

Zito didn't strike out as many as he is used to because in the later innnings he was taking advantage of the Twins swinging early. He had a couple 8, 9 pitch innings in there. Kendall called/Zito pitched a good game, IMO.

It's now the A's series.

The Twins pretty much self destructed at the plate. Zito couldn't place his fastball for a strike and he hung about 1/3 of his curve balls. It was ugly.

Any further word on who the Mets are starting tomorrow?

It was reported that El Duque either cramped up or strained a calf during a workout this afternoon and may be scratched. Last I read, they were considering John Maine the best available option if Glavine is against going on three days rest.

I don't hate Russell, I just think its funny to watch him strike out time and time again in big situations. There is no way the Padres win this series with Branyan starting at 3rd for the entire series.

The Cards seem to have a pretty good hold on Game One- they're up 5-0 in the 6th.

Unfortunately, I think this will have a good impact on the rest of the series. Pujols won a good battle with Peavy to hit a two-run homer, and it seemed to turn the momentum. The Cardinals look good, but it's still only the first game. Go Pads!!!!
