True but let's face it.. the best thing for the Brewers is for him to price himself so far out of their league that they don't even have a chance to make an offer as that means he pitched the whole season, they probably made the playoffs, and have a chance to go deep.

Sheets is a true staff ace. It's going to be very sad for me to see him pitch for another team next year (especially if its for the Cubs). I guess I have no choice but to enjoy it while he's here.

I'm sure Mark will make a fine, competitive offer. It's kind of up to Sheeter to be open to coming back to Milwaukee again or not. He may be a "Favre" kind of guy in that money isn't all that important but winning is and he'll come back.

And, again, he may not.

 

I highly doubt the team will low-ball him with a horrible offer.
