9/27/08 Cubs (Lilly) at Brewers (Sheets): 2:55 CDT on FOX

[Ennder]

What an odd place to be bunting with a guy with an OPS over .900 on the season.

Sneaky power fooled even Pinella

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

If anyone would have told me in April that Sheets, Parra, and Bush would all pitch in the same game at some point in the season I would have called them crazy.

[wibadgers23]

Marquis? I thought he was starting tomorrow.

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Marquis? Really? I give up on understanding the Cubs strategy anymore.

Zambrano is starting tomorrow (for approx 2 innings). Marshall will probably go from there.

Any word on if he's going to play his starters tomorrow? A mix? Starters play for a while and then reserves?

[dlk9s]

Bloop and a blast time.

EDIT: Not was Counsell on deck.

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Baserunners. That's what we need.

[Brewcrewin07]

So Lous is really starting head case tomorrow?? What a bunch of crap. He manages this series to win it(despite the lineup today), but had no interest in winning that last Mets game or the Brewers wouldn't even be in this situation. Thanks Lou!!

Cubs are taking him on the playoff roster as a reliever so they want to give him some work in that role.

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Well there goes Branyan for the season.

[trwi7]

Wow. Counsell pinch hitting? Where's Lamb?

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Why does Counsell even bring the bat up with him to the plate and why do pitchers not throw him strikes?

[brewers19]

I know a little bit about grandslams too, Mark.

Counsell!!!

[adamb100]

Sweet mother of Counsell!

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Counsell is my new hero.

[trwi7]

why do pitchers not throw him strikes?

That's what confuses me too. Worst that happens (99% of the time) is he loops one into the outfield. There's really no risk in just throwing him strikes.

[Marc Newfield of Dreams]

Come on Braunie!

[Team Canada]

Ha, Braun is ticked.

Cmon Prince!!!

[brewers19]

Nooo, leave Marquis in!

[trwi7]

Please Prince please.

[adamb100]

Braun hit intentionally it seemed.

Bases loaded for Fielder.

[TuesdaysWithRillo]

Now they'll conveniently bring in the lefty. They are really resting their guys so much.
