Mitch Williams whining again about untucking em.
I would love to hear what he has to say about this, it would probably be funny. Anybody have a clip?

Weeks looked bad? He had 2 hits and a walk tonight.

He's been pullling off everything since that second Cincy game. Yeah, he did hit his rbi single hard and walked but that didn't mean much with tonight's ridiculous zone.

I think I should wear my Sweep Suit to tomorrow's game.

On another note, we're due for a full-out bean-ball, beatdown brawl during one of the games against the Cubs. It might even be tomorrow.

yes, please share if one is available.

Mitch Williams is a buffoon. He repeatedly claims that Braun should only see fastballs because he can only hit off speed stuff. C'mon Mitch, grow that nasty mullet back out and come give Braun some of that cheese that he can't touch. Would love to see it!

Yeah, I'm sure Braun is one of the top handful of hitters in the game because he can't hit fastballs.

I'm pretty sure I saw Trevor Hoffman at the Best Buy in Delafield earlier this afternoon.
Wouldn't be shocking. Lots of athletes/coaches live in that Delafield/Pewaukee/Hartland area. Jason Kendall, Brian Anderson live there. Ned Yost used to live there too.

"i'm not worried about the brewers because they'll finish under .500, but seriously, there are other teams we should worry about. "

-some poster on NSBB

I had this quote copied to my clipboard ready to paste here. Denial isn't a river in Egypt Cubs fans. It isn't going to be even close to happening this year.

As for Mitch... waste of MLB money if you ask me.

As for all the tools over at NSBB that think Braun is a what they say he is (rules here are stiffer than there, or anywhere for that matter), keep talking because you will be begging your GM at the time to give him whatever it takes to sign him in 5 years. Like Aramis Ramirez doesn't admire every single one of his home runs. DSDB Cubs fans, go figure.

A brawl on Mother's day? I doubt it, it will be the next series, or maybe the last one in late September.

Jeff Suppan lives on Pewaukee Lake, as well. I saw Jon McGlocklin at the Delafield Walgreens once, too.

How could I forget Jon McGlocklin? He's always either at the Cousin's in Hartland or the McDonald's on Ryan Street in Pewaukee.

I feel kind of bad for Chad Fox. People always used to joke about his arm being made out metal and being bionic back in the late '90s with all of the arm problems he had. It is amazing the guy is still around this long.

The guy's slider is so good it breaks his arm to throw it. Fox was always one of my favorite relievers when he was a Brewer, so it was tough to see that pitch & know he's going back on the DL.

I'd love to hear Johnny Mac order a sub at Cousins and do that weird breathing/laughing thing he does. I just wish I could re-create that sound.

Seeing Chad Fox walk off the field was the first time I have ever felt sorry for a Cubs player. The look on his face said it all...a year of rehab and his season (and likely career) ends after one inning.

All of the cubs fans are wondering what is up with Soto. I can think of two things-

1) He is a lot fatter this year than last

2) It was a two year fluke- look at his minors numbers: linky

I don't think we'll see any beanball wars here. While the fan bases certainly hate each other, there has been very little animosity between the players. Our guys seem to get into it with the Cards and maybe now the Pirates. For whatever reason, they seem to get along with the Cubs.

With Cuzzi behind the plate tomorrow...you never know what is going to happen. I see at least two ejections. Hopefully it involves Bradley and Lou, but I'm doubtful. The guy has it in for the Brewers. That and for whatever reason we have stunk on non-Pirates gravy days.

Let's change that tomorrow!!! Get those pink bats out and fire up Billy Hall!!!

Mitch Williams was basically complaining the entire show that Braun has a lot to learn, especially after he walked and slammed his shin guard on the ground. He made a comment about how this is what he means and he just needs to get his butt to first base. For some reason he was really steamed, his face was red. It was to the point that when they led up to the plays of the night the others joked that they were going to show Braun's home run trot.

Then when they showed the untuckem at the end they were saying that the Brewers need to keep street clothes in the dugout since their players are undressed when they get off the field anyway.

This just reminds me that I have to go to Eastbay and get an Untuckem shirt... WE WIN!

Your link doesn't include his 2007 .411 BABIP in AAA or his .337 BABIP in 2008. Of course it is .208 this year so my guess is that he will start to hit at least a little better this year. Last year might have been his career year. I still think he will be in the top half of catchers on offense. All of his projections look to high. They project him to be better than every hitter on our team except Braun or Fielder.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

That was one nutty game. I'm glad it's over, and went in the Brewers' favor.

Edit: SeriesFinale, I'm glad you mentioned that 1999 'light delay' game at County. Some of the chatters tonight thought I was mis-remembering the 2001 Miller Park light-out.

My favorite part of the 1999 light delay was when everyone started taking flash pictures of the darkness. (Of course, then I did too.)

Yeah, I noticed people doing the same tonight.

That was a weird night...if I remember correctly, they were giving away "Bringing Down the House" hats as part of the promotional schedule, but this was a couple days after Big Blue crashed and you could see it in ruins just beyond the bleachers. The game was pretty wild, too--a big Brewers win (against the Royals, I believe), but I remember Hideo Nomo got tagged sliding into home.

Since when is Mitch Williams the official arbiter of how to act on the baseball field? Like the 93 Phils just exuded class? They were a fun bunch and all but hardly the poster children for "how to play the game". What should Braun do...grow one of those 70s porn mullets an put a watermelon size chunk of chaw in his mouth to be one of your boys? Is he in too good of shape for you or maybe doesn't get in enough off the field bar fights?

The Brewers are fun to watch because the seem like a bunch of decent guys who get along pretty well and they are good. The whole untuckem thing is a great story that if any of these so called baseball experts took the time to research would not be the issue they make it out to be. And if someone has an issue with Braun taking a peek at his homer tonight...what would anyone do after getting drilled in the head?

I watched the game last night with a couple of Cubs fans. That did make it a bit more fun. Upon the final out, I untucked my shirt. They were not amused. I asked if "it was gonna happen this year?" That question remained unanswered.
