I get where Bill was going but he was making no sense. The better comparison would be the NBA; you don't want 1/2 the teams in the league making the playoffs. It justs dilutes everything. But Bill was talking out of his butt there

Hes not the only person on the planet with that viewpoint. I just hope it doesn't turn into college football which has a brutal replay system that makes the game much more boring with few actual call reversals.

If they want to shorten playoffs it's simple... stop giving unnecessary off days and make the teams use their entire rosters like they do during the regular season.

 

Replay and expanded playoffs has nothing to do with hockey at all... the viewpoint is asinine.
