Does Taylor Green still reside on our roster?

Yes, he's started the last two games.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

I realize that... Was just hoping he would have a more permanent role going forward.

Basically they feel that Aoki is playing better than Green now and Aoki in RF and Hart at 1B is better than Hart in RF and Green at 1B.

Green is the odd man out for now, and it's hard to debate considering his numbers compared with Hart and Aoki. Weeks obviously isn't going to sit when he is showing signs of waking up.

Aoki in CF Hart in RF, and Green at 1B may be better. Not enough to make much of an issue of it.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Omar Vizquel has 2851 hits. He's probably a borderline HOF player right now. I wonder if some terrible team in need of a SS would be willing to let him take hacks next year? He'll probably need 120 hits after this season, so if he can just find 720 AB's over two seasons and hit about .170 he'll crack 3,000 hits. (I love milestone HOF voting logic: "Yeah, you're borderline right now, but if you play out the string below replacement level and put up a horrendous batting line over 720 AB's, we'll certainly vote you in")

We'll never know what we have in Green until he gets REGULAR playing time...

I don't really see any reason to be playing Green over Morgan right now. That's basically what the decision comes down to. Green's slash line is .214/.288/.386. He's not really doing anything to deserve playing time. He went 1-9 in the Twins series.

Well he hit the ball pretty damn well in the Twins series and just ran into some bad luck. A few line outs yesterday. And his BABIP is pretty low as well.

Ok. I guess the point I'm trying to make is I'm not gonna complain about him not being in the lineup. I don't think there's much difference whether he's in there or not. I'd rather just have Hart at 1B and Aoki in RF every day. That doesn't really leave anywhere for Green to play. Not getting regular playing time won't help him, so he's better off in AAA. He won't be there though because of all of the injuries.

I agree he'd be better off with consistent PT. I just wish that was up here. I've been saying all year I'd like to see ARam/Weeks get a day off each a week to keep them fresh. And with ARam's nagging injury and Weeks' struggles, that seems like a good idea. So that's 2 starts a week there. Then I'd put Green at 1B once or twice a week with Aoki in CF and Hart in RF. I think Green could just be a super-utility guy and get 3-4 starts a week. But he's just a rookie.

He definitely could, but Roenicke will never sit out Weeks and Ramirez on a consistent basis. It's also partially because he likes leaving guys at one position for the most part.

Looks like the wind is going to turn MP into a bandbox tonight
I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

I love how Aoki gives the extra effort to position himself behind nearly every fly ball he catches. At least with runners on. Always prepares himself for a throw. Stark contrast to Hart's lazy back-peddling and flat-footed throws.

Agreed. His arm is also much better than what the reports were after signing him.

Come on ARam get one outta here!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

hey look, just tuned in, and we are down 0-1...

Almost every time I miss a half inning or a full inning, we are down when I tune in...
