If they want to make any sort of playoff push, this is a win they have to get. Not the most favorable pitching matchup and Ramirez out of the lineup...I hope they can get it done.

I edited the lead post/graphics to change PM to AM. Not that 11:40 AM should be any kind of normal start time either. ;)
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I'm just waiting for someone to say, "See, it's games like these that show Estrada isn't ready to be in the starting rotation."

Not a good start. Need this one. Just running out of time. They can't afford to be splitting series' with teams like the Marlins if they have any hope of staying in the race.

Its going to be tough to take 2/3 against Saint Louis, especially if Yo has one of the games as they have historically hit well against him.

I agree that taking two of three against the Cards will be tough but the fact that Gallardo will be starting one of them only helps the Brewers. Pitcher vs. team splits should be largely ignored.

I think realistically we need to sweep the cards.

Pretty much, picking up one game isn't going to get the job done, picking up three gives them a fighting chance.

I really can't stand umpires that adjust their strike zone based on the count. (A close 3-0 pitch is more likely to be called a strike, a close 0-2 pitch is more likely to be called a ball).

The clown car...I mean bullpen...hasn't helped us again today. Slowly getting back into it, and the happy honking crew gave up two more. This is a game we needed.

As far as I'm concerned, Nyjer Morgan doesn't need to ever play for this team again.

Schaffer on. Now if Aoki and Weeks could both get on to load them up for Brauny.....God, would that make me happy!

We're down 4 runs in the ninth, and Morgan swings and misses three times. He needs to be smarter than that, but he's not. He doesn't provide us anything that Schaffer can't do, and the kid might be better if he's given a chance.

.243/.303/.308 is not good.
