A tie with St. Louis, seven games to play against them. We'll do the usual peeing our pants in intimidation and go 2-5. That leaves 19 games to play four games better than them.

Molina was out for about 6 weeks and the Cards went from 2 1/2 out to tied for first.......Pirates lost Mccutchen...fell 7 or 8 games out and now within 2...

Brewers under .500 since April........

You knew that wasn't going to be caught; Pence will come around to score now, too. It's just the way things are going.

Season is completely falling off the rails. Evidently the entire pitching staff is tired, because they currently suck, and Melvin's big move was a horrible RP overpay. Great going, Doug.

I wonder if the Broxton move was a DM move or a MA move. I know Mark has been at several of the west coast slaughters and he surely can't be happy

[sarcasm]Don't worry, we'll be way better next year when we're spending all of our money on Jonathan Broxton rather than a 1B.[/sarcasm]

What is so sad is we aren't even competitive. We are getting blown out and now we go to Chicago and those guys are starting to hit too. What good was that nice streak in April and May if you tank in July and August? I feel bad for Broxton for having go join this motley crew. :tongue Of course the Reds aren't much better...

Can we at least go back to where we had one thing going for us? At least we had a chance then. Lack of hitting and pitching(and defense) is not fun.

Yes Ron, today is the day to burn through the bullpen. Not early in the game Friday not when it was clear Peralta was bad and the game was still within reach.
