I tend to believe that we will find out very quickly if Davies stuff is good enough to get major league hitters out.

 

His numbers at AAA Colorado Springs were not pretty, but then again neither were the numbers Jungmann put up, and he has dominated at the MLB level.

I think it'd be pretty silly to only look at his AAA numbers in Colorado, where many pitchers seem to fail. Daives has done a very nice job at every level of the minor leagues. While he may fall flat on his face, he may also stick closer to those minor league numbers and be another answer to the rotation for next season.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I certainly hope you are right. It doesn't look like Cravy is the answer, so it would be nice if Davies can step in.

 

2016 rotation would go as follows:

 

1. Nelson

2. Jungmann

3. Garza?(Again...)

4. Peralta

5. Davies

 

Then the team would have Wagner, Suter, Hader, and Houser at AAA,

Sedar gave him a stop sign, then Marte bobbled the ball so Sedar starting waving him in but Davies didn't recognize it so he went back to 3rd.

Brauny has really been in the zone the last month or so. Up to .282 now. .351/.504/.855 is a pretty nice slash line.

Wow. I haven't been paying super close attention to it but every singe time the batter called and was granted time after Davies started his delivery. I just assumed they were close but none of those were close.

If someone did that to Nolan Ryan (or Bob Gibson, or Roger Clemens...) the next one would be at his chin.

1. Stuff is nothing special.

 

2. Going to need to locate really well.

 

3. Going to need to throw curve for strikes.

 

4. Change up is good but I'm not sure good enough to overcome the below average fastball.

He's 22...let's give him some time. I agree he's not going to be the type to overwhelm batters with his fastball.

That change up was really good.

 

I think his upside might be Sean Marcum...when Marcum was good

 

Jonathan Lucroy compared him to Marcum.

 

I just think his location is going to have to be perfect to be a starter and get through MLB lineups 2 to 3 times.
