The tarp was out at Citi Field earlier, but Jeff Levering says they'll play. Maybe because it's not the Cubs in charge?

I have no idea how Gsellman still has a spot in the Mets rotation. Great opportunity for the crew.

It's the same rotation that felt they could use Tommy Milone. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thames shouldn't even be in the lineup at all. Have no idea why you don't just DL him when he's clearly fatigued, not healthy and you have good options to replace him in the meantime.

There's absolutely no reason that guys need to play through injuries right now with the depth we have, especially when they're not even effective.

Phillips is OPSing 1.000 in AAA. Why not being up an actual outfielder for LF, let Aguilar cover 1st and give Thames a much needed break?

Other than trying to not start super 2 status, so far they have done a poor job utilizing that 10 day DL. They have the depth now to have a continuous flow of guys coming in to fill in for guys that are banged up or just flat out fatigued. Figure it out already Stearns/CC!

How do you have any idea what Thames medical condition is? While not perfect, I will trust the Brewers medical staff over random fan forum posters.

Perhaps because he's left games or sat out games with minor injuries several times in the last month?

One does not really need an MD to see that he's probably not playing 100%. He's also on the wrong side of 30 and averaged closer to 130 games a year in Korea. I never said he CAN'T play right now, if he's playing he's obviously physically able to play, the point is that a rest could help him get closer to 100%, get him back when he can be more effective again, and give one of the numerous promising prospects a shot in LF at a time when we really don't even have a single LFer on the roster.

The whole point of the 10 Day DL vs the old 15 Day is to make it more advantageous to teams to DL guys with short term injuries, not have to force them back into action too soon or lose them for longer than you need to, and not have to play with short rosters. I agree with Brew that we're not taking advantage of it effectively.

Jeff Levering just said MCAS Miramar is where they train Air Force and Navy pilots. If you want to tick off Marines confuse them with the Air Force.

Of course we let this garbage pitcher shut us down. Come on guys

Can't expect to keep every team to 0-2 runs each game. Gotta get the offense going today. Looking right at you Thames.

Opposing batters are hitting .452 the third time they face Garza, per @fswisconsin. Guess which inning he reached that point today?

Maybe they can piggyback Garza and Peralta and be on to something.

I guess this is what we get for all our talk about how awful Gsellman is.

EDIT: As I type this Domingo goes yard, LOL.

Whether Thames is ailing or not, he just isn't getting it done. Santana is hot thankfully.

I heard that as well, though he claimed santana stopped at second which is why he was confused.

Scahill should be sent back to AAA just for that . Awful. Aren't you here because you can supposedly throw strikes? Unforgivable.
