Score one for the contact play!

The contact play giveth; the contact play taketh away.

I don't mind the contact play with guys on 2nd and 3rd, like earlier in the game. For the chance at scoring a run without anybody out, you give up 2nd base versus 1st base. I'd do that all day.

Hey im not in favor of it in most cases, i just like if it works

It only has to work like 1/8 times for it to be "worth it"

Arcia had an .848 OPS in June

Now that the relief pitching is doing well there is hope. The division is weak of course and the Cubs aren't running away with it as everyone expected but the Crew has done well and deserve it. The Cards wish they could be where the Brewers are right now.

If Arcia could have hit this way all season he might have had a chance in the All Star voting this year. His time will come.

The Crew running away with the division! Who knew.

Either put that in blue or I'm going to find a pumping brake pedal meme.

3 games is nothing to sneeze at! I know this should have been posted in the Optimism thread though.

The relief pitching has come together but the rotation is not in good shape. Really need Guerra to figure things out.

It wasn't too long ago when it seemed like the Cubs, Cardinals, and Pirates were going to be really good for a long time.
