I've just about completely soured on Barnes. He doesn't belong at the end of ball games anymore. The problem is, there is just really no one else.

 

 

I'd rather have Hughes who has at least been good the last 2 months other than one total crapfest outing. Barnes seems like a disaster waiting to happen every outing.

 

Hader is a great late inning option too if Counsell ever actually learns to trust him, but that's obviously not an option today.

 

I'd have Barnes no better than 5th on the reliever hierarchy at the moment. Knebel, Swarzak, Hader, Hughes, Barnes.

Is it scouting that they know Domingo takes a lot of pitches? Edwards hasn't thrown a strike until Domingo then pouring it in.

 

Gotta be scouting. Now Sogard, who takes a lot, gets more strikes pouring in. Our other hitters swing at everything and get thrown junk and they swing.
