I know this is the big bad scary Dodgers but at some point Roberts has got to start taking it easy with his starters. They lost Bellinger and Wood this week and these games just about mean nothing for them. There's no point in them running out their best 9 every night just to get to the playoffs and have those guys be spent.

Probably not but I would rather give my guys rest in August and have them play more in September that way they're still in the swing of things come playoff time.

Well Jose Quintana and the Cubs are getting smoked through six innings. I wonder if they are calling off the season. A Brewers fan would.

As bad as it feels like he's pitched, Quintana has pitched about the same or better than he had been with the White Sox this year. His hits and walks are down and strikeouts are up.

The Dodgers radio guy - Rick Monday I guess? - who even cares - went on and on during the 7th and 8th about how many games over 500 the Dodgers were, their record at home, their record in one run games, their record in extra innings, etc etc, which is fine, they are having an historic season. Then after the Brewers go out in the 8th he says "and the Brewers are DOA and about to be RIP." In the top of the 9th he says "and Kenley Jensen comes in to clean up small details." I can't think of Vin Scully doing that. They miss him.
