Missed out on Pint.... now Beer....The draft is killing the Brewers marketing department last few years lol

Still shaken from the Brent Brewer years.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Speaking of the name game, this might have been the best mock draft of all this year (top actual names that will go in this year’s draft)...

I'm very happy with the Turang pick. Very high value at 21. I wouldn't underestimate the temptation to go to LSU, but I doubt the Brewers would have taken him in the 1st Round if they didn't think he would sign

Any thoughts on Hankins, Rocker & Banfield? Are all 3 demanding too much money? Are all 3 going to Vanderbilt?

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I think Vandy kids have generally been difficult signs.

Of those three, I think Rocker is the most likely to go to Vandy.

I think Noah Naylor was a really good pick for the Indians.

thank you...

I personally think Turang was a steal for the Brewers at #21...

now the question is what talent does the Tribe scoop up with picks at #35 & #41...

I would love for Tristan Beck to fall to our next pick.

I did the Reddit Live Mock Draft on Sunday picking for the Brewers and I ended up with Brice Turang, Tristan Beck, and Braxton Ashcraft in the first three picks (LINK to final mock draft). I don’t actually think they could sign those three guys, but that would be an amazing night if they could.

I'd take 2 out of 3 and an underslot guy!

After listening to the Fangraphs draft podcast, I like Daniel Lynch out of Virginia too. Seems like he has some untapped potential if he can get away from a tense college situation.

I am guessing a college pitcher with the next pick. Some of these guys will obviously be gone, but here are a list of some of the best still available...

Kris Bubic, LHP, Stanford

Blaine Knight, RHP, Arkansas

Tristan Beck, RHP, Stanford

Sean Hjelle, RHP, Kentucky

Konnor Pilkington, LHP, Mississippi State

Tanner Dodson, RHP, Cal

Tim Cate, LHP, UConn

Colton Eastman, Cal State Fullerton

Kansas City Royals have cornered the college pitching market tonight...

18. RHP Brady Singer, Florida

33. RHP Jackson Kowar, Florida

34. LHP Daniel Lynch, Virginia

40. LHP Kris Bubic, Stanford

Among guys that look like they are almost certainly going to college are HS righthanders Kumar Rocker and Cole Wilcox.

OF Mike Siani also likely headed to school.

Just updating & striking through names as the draft continues...

I missed Griffin Roberts from Wake Forest in that list, but he went to the Cardinals anyway.

Looks like at least a couple of those college pitchers will be available at #60.

A little surprised RHP Blaine Knight is still available... has a ton of projection left for a college pitcher.

Banfield still not picked, right? He's a great defensive catcher but I've read there are questions with his bat. Do you take him and pay over Slot?
