Shaw! Atta boy.

Too bad the team doesn't have a sacrificial lamb in the pen right now. Would like to save Knebel. Maybe let Jennings pitch the 9th?

Only because the bottom of the order is coming up.

Kratz on base three times!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I would but no safety net behind him.

I bet Barnes pitches, then goes down tomorrow.

So do they let someone else finish it and save Knebel?

I doubt it. It's a "save situation", so he probably stays because stats are important apparently

Arcia starting to sting it.

A lot of satisfying offensive production/at bats today. Even something seemingly simple like the 1st inning double followed by 2 ground outs to score him... great to see. Kratz and Braun with rbi singles. Jesus some good at bats.

Great offensive game.

I'm guessing Soria is our closer tomorrow.

Why?

The unearned run? Knebel not even to 20 pitches yet. Barring more trouble, he will be available tomorrow.

Yep, great way to follow that crapburger they grilled up yesterday.

Why?

Because Knebel pitched more than one inning, and they were all high stress pitches. And Soria is a closer.

Well... There's the more trouble.

This team doesn't go anywhere if Knebel doesn't figure it out. Gotta roll with him. Pen is good without him ... can be great with him pitching good.

None of this inning was high stress till now. He had 4 runs to work with. He's already pitched 3 straight days this year, unless he goes 30+ pitches he will be the "closer" tomorrow.

As I said.
