I expect Davies to start up here next outing. We may as well try.

Look at those numbers for Jared Hughes. What could have been for us.

Hughes was the very definition of average/replaceable last year. No one could have seen his dominance coming.

No one could have seen this season coming, but plenty of people wanted him back, and with good reaaon, he was solid for us last year.

Except for being consistently good at not giving up runs for years now, including as a brewer last year

Can we use good relievers now? Every game matters craig

I was surprised they didn't try to keep him, but it isn't like I was real broken up by the decision. He had quite a few outings last year that looked like that last inning for the Reds.

Seriously...one outing? :laughing

After this regression he still has an ERA under 2.

I thought a while back after the Soria trade that swapping Hader and Peralta's roles once the innings deemed it would be a great way to boost this season and set us up for next. But with Soria's DL stint and Knebel falling off a cliff obviously Hader is needed right where he is. Still frustrating that we don't have the starters right now to go on any kind of a sustained run. These over before they start games suck, is it just me or do we never have any of these type games on our side any more?

I think he was joking, but you cannot deny the irony. ;)

Not irony

I was so excited to watch this one tonight. What a let down. Bah, on to tomorrow for me.

Not so fast ...

Brew4U, thank you for maintaining your optimism. I know it can be rough with this team.

I’m back!

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
