Since the Brewers are playing a non-cactus league team the next two days, not sure how they will count these games in the standings, but currently they are only a half game out of first as they attempt to defend their Cactus League title!

I think Attanasio's declaration that he'd find money mid-season, if necessary, is the most optimistic thing about the team. He won't go crazy, but he has publicly stated that he's willing to do more. That's fuel for optimism.

 

Their lineup seems strong. They have pitching depth. It's a tough division, but the Brewers should be competitive the whole way.

 

I'm seldom optimistic about the Brewers, but this year really does look like they could repeat as a pennant contender.

We still have Cain and Yelich. He's not saying this past offseason is better than last year. He's saying this year's team is better than last year's.

Taylor Williams and Jacob Barnes get an opportunity early on and breakout. Adding more bullpen studs.

 

Peralta, Woodruff and Burnes all earn their right to stay in the rotation all year. Brewers are burdened with finding ways to keep their innings reasonable for this year.
