The love for freaking Shaw.

He's had seven at bats. Seven. Let's all get super irrational over it.

Meanwhile, Hiura just recently suffered an 0 for 9 before hitting a double yesterday. Where are they handing out the torches and pitchforks?

apparently you missed the other 200. Shaw doesn't have it this year for whatever reason. the quicker the Brewers realize it the better off they will be.

Sick of shoe horning this guy in there

When will Fox Sports get with the times and put in OPS instead of AVG on the little box in the right hand corner of the screen?

Yelich’s speed going from first to third was like leading a double steal. Most runners would have parked at second on that ball.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Pretty sure he realized his mistake. That's not a 1st to 3rd ball normally

sure, but it's normally a ball where a guy on 2nd scores...hopefully they can continue picking him up with another big hit or two this inning

Can we get a sanity check on the AAA stats comments. Given the league wide trend down there this year folks have suggested discounting (but not disregarding) AAA number more than usual. Based just on how many of our call-ups have done it looks like you can crudely take .200 OPS points off the top, which is a ton. In Grisham's case though that still leaves his numbers looking well above average because while other guys have put up good looking numbers he was putting up Bondsian type numbers. None of which is to say that is his true talent level, but in the same way Hiura was killing the league and has produced very well it's fair to think Grisham could produce at least league average for a LF with room for some definite helium there.

True, but one could argue that it cost a run since he should have been on 2nd and then Hiura hit a single. Of course, the whole inning is different if he gets to 2nd right away.

Great 2-0 cut Moose.

Grandal and Moose have fallen back to Earth. So that sucks.

Moose. 2-0 count with 2 runners in scoring position and 1 out and you manage that. That's the kind of thing that loses games.

I'm not going to get on the guy for not busting his ass on a ball like that. That's so rare for a ball to get air mailed like that.

That homer bailey is just a great pitcher. Just have to be happy with 1-2 runs off of him

And you're valuing 200 ABs over the 1000 ABs prior to that. Shaw not having it for 200 ABs doesn't mean much except that your opinion is coming from a place of irrational impatience. Which is fine, you're allowed to feel impatient, but it also means nobody should be seriously listening to your advice.

The problem is that any possible replacement is going to be a big downgrade. But yeah, that was a terrible AB. That can't happen in that situation and it has all too often for us this season.
