Gio is just not much fun to watch pitch. He's constantly working behind in the count. When he misses, he misses bad and it always feels like he's on the verge of giving up a big inning.

Yes, agree, but he does work out of it most of the time.

Plus, it's a huge break when we don't have to face Arenado...

That molina hissy fit woke the Cubs up tonight I think.

What did that goof do now?

Molina was grazed by a pitch after which Hamels turned his back to the plate and yelled an explative at himself for hitting Molina and Molina took offense to it and the benches ended up clearing.

This isn't a game you can just say "It's OK we lost, so did the Cardinals." The Cubs B-team is doing their part and so far this weekend we look like we just got knocked down and are having a hard time beating the 10 count.

Gio has to step it up. He doesn't look like he has his A game today.

Doesn't Gio need his change-up to be successful? That doesn't work ito well in Denver.

More the breaking stuff that gets affected in high altitude. Gio is actually a good choice to pitch here.

Gio has been solid for us this year. Good, even. Just a tough guy to watch pitch.

Yeah, pretty much this, he doesn't suck, I just hate watching him constantly nibble and his results always seem better than his performance. Reminds me a lot of Doug Davis.

Neither was yesterday. We are facing horrid starters and getting owned.

Agree with the first part. Reserving judgment on the rest until at least the second time through.

Gio doing his job. WE need some runs here. I feel like if they can just break through it would take the pressure off and lead to a bunch.

It happens. I mean, Brad Mills basically shut down the Cards yesterday.
