McRibs are the single best food stuff made of pork gristle and shredded cardboard in the world. Add the high fructose corn syrup in tomato sauce masquerading as barbeque sauce, pickle and onion and it creates a nearly edible food substitute.

I think the McRib is delicious, but I don't eat them because they are delicious in a "non-natural" way. Everything tastes artificial and enhanced... I tend to avoid foods that are overly processed and chemically enhanced.

I often smoke my own ribs, but if someone wants to deliver... I LOVE the McRib!

Whenever the McRib is announced or advertised, either my wife or I will say "McRib" and the other will respond with "Chomp". I think it was one promotion from a decade or two ago, but it stuck with us...and apparently Homer, too.

 

Oh, and message me for my address to deliver the smoked ribs, too. No doubt yours are better, but there's room for all.

No, Kwik Trip isn't that bad. IMHO, their take on the McRib is better and easier to eat on the road.

Kwik Trip is more of a food store that sells gas. My wife drove 2 hours yesterday and joked that the one time she gets out, she eats at Kwik Trip (and she had other options where she picked Kwik Trip). Their burger and rib sandwiches are decent (I prefer them to McDs, but not Culvers), their chicken is excellent, I love the breakfast sandwiches, and of course the donuts and frozen pizza (BBQ chicken is a family favorite).

I used to love it when they had their crappy little chicken with cheese sandwiches for $1. After loading it up with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and mayo it was a pretty darn good meal considering the price. I'll admit that without loading it up it was probably barely worth a buck on its own. Once in a while when I was feeling slovenly I'd fill a container 1/2 full of mac n cheese and 1/2 chili and top it with hot sauce.

I read somewhere that Kwik Trip sells more food than any fast food restaurant. I prefer some of their food as well compared to other places.

Burger King is coming out with an actual $1 menu next week. I think they sense some mild frustration on the part of customers who once enjoyed the old McDonald’s Dollar Menu and are attempting to capture some market share.

Since it's the season, I recommend making your own Bailey's. Caramel is quite good and so is caramel/pumpkin spice. But heads up any spice mix is considerably stronger on the second day.

I have always found Kwik Trip food to be really overrated. Now...some of it is good. I like the breakfast sandwiches, the hot spot pizza isn’t too shabby, and the chicken is obviously good because they make it fresh themselves. The new crispy chicken is good too I suppose, though some people were comparing it to a Popeyes crispy chicken...and well, their tastebuds must be messed up beyond repair.

 

The normal chicken sandwiches, the burgers, sausages, etc. all taste like gas station food. Unless it is for the chicken (or breakfast sandwiches) I will most certainly rather eat something else. Sorry, generally speaking, it still tastes like gas station food. Definitely not on the level of fast food places.

I love Kwik Trip hot food when it’s on special; however, at regular price, it’s forgettable.

Love the KT breakfast egg rolls (bacan and egg), and the breakfast tornados are good too. All the rest of their hot food is just meh. It does in a pinch.

 

Their breakfast sandwiches are ok, but they stopped serving my favorite one quite a while ago, and I'm not sure why. (Bacan, egg, and cheese muffin) Come to think of it, they also stopped serving the bacan, egg, and cheese tornados too.

 

They have something against bacon, that ain't right.

The only fast food sandwiches that I devour on the regular are from Starbucks. A pre-packaged, reheated breakfast sandwich shouldn't taste that good, but they do. Combined with the easy mobile ordering so you don't have to wait. Perfection.

McDs dropped their Bagel breakfast sandwiches some time ago and Kwik Trip started serving them - no coincidence I'm sure. That is my sandwich of choice - over all restaurants.
