2020-08-18: Brewers (Burnes) at Twins (Maeda) [Brewers lose, 4-3 in 12 innings -- Brewers spoil Maeda’s no hit bid in the 9th and rally for 3 runs, but fail to get a run across in extras]

Is Haders velocity down this season.

I was kind of wondering that. Has he been sitting at 92-93 all season?

Coming into tonight he was averaging 94.5 mph on his four seamer. That is 1.0 mph slower than last year’s average of 95.5.

Tonight appeared to be down.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Hader isn't as dominant at 92-93.

No, but his slider has been better this season than last, so he’s still very effective. Has to throw a lot more pitches to get through an inning though.

Man, it is amazing to me to see how Hader has developed that slider. I mean, it is the perfect example of even elite guys having to make changes to sustain success. He's got this impossible fastball, but he's managed to add a pitch for those rare moments when he can't trust it.

Do you just post because you think you're on to something? Let me burst your bubble. He hasn't allowed a run this year. What are you basing this nonsense on? If anything, looks like he's more dominant at 92-93 with an improved slider.

Well, Hader got it done. The Twins did make him work enough where you may not be able to bring him out in the 11th, though.

We should only bring him back out if we score.

Brock Holt’s sprint speed is listed in the 8th percentile. That doesn’t seem like it can be correct?

Ryan Braun has three strike outs today and looked bad in his last at bat, but I would happily take him being up here with the bases loaded.

That's gotta be like 25% faster than Jed Gyorko's sprint speed, no?

MLB 2020: "Here we'll just give you a guy on 2nd let's just finish this off and get it of here"

Brewers: "Mmm nah"

Lol... the Brewers are typically so bad at driving in runs with RISP and less than two outs that they should be allowed to start with a runner on 3rd.
