The OPS’s in the lineup are beginning to look a lot more normal.

Braun's having a nice year. Gyorko too. Yelich and Hiura are still a long ways off from what their normal should be.

Curious on what Hiura's normal "should be." Lots of people annointing him as an All Star level player here, very little evidence to support it both in the field and at the dish.

There's actually an enormous amount of evidence to support it at the dish. He's hit at every level he's ever been at including a .938 OPS at this level last year. His bat was never in question. We all know he's not a guy who is going to strike out in a third of his ABs.

Anyone that tells me Arcia is the same player he’s been makes me chuckle. Noticeable difference this year. The adjustments have been made and he’s grown as a player. He’s just never going to mash.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I hope Garcia is feeling a bit better.......I know he’s dhing g today but he hasn’t been running well either.

We are running out of outfielders.

Will probably see Mathias back up tomorrow, and probably Billy McKinney as well, depending on how bad Gamel is (I assume Braun is going on the IL). They have Corey Ray and Keon Broxton in Appleton as well.

All that, in a playoff hunt? Woof.

Just pointing out that there are options. Never said they were good ;)

Not a great start to the inning for Hader.

He's human ... gonna give up runners and runs every now and then. I'm much rather it happen against the Royals with a 5-run lead then nursing a 1-run lead next week against the Reds or Cards.

Looks like Yardley got banged up,on that last out which is why he didn’t go back out there.

CC said he will.probably be hobbling around tomorrow but more of a bruise type injury.

Braun had back spasms.........Gamel has a bad quad.....which has been bothering him for most of the season according to CC.

Brock Holt pitched for the Nationals tonight. 1.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER.

He's no Billy Hall...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
