Bucks 2021-2022 season thread

I highly doubt Kyrie ever gets vaccinated. A more likely scenario is the mandate is changed or lifted at some point. Or...he's traded for someone that helps. But I don't see that guy backing off and getting the vaccine.

But even so, I still think that group finds some other way to self-destruct, whether it's injuries or just falling apart mentally. I also think the Bucks are better than last season.

Watch them trade him for Ben Simmons.

I was afraid Portland was going to do something stupid and trade Lillard for Simmons over the off season. Thankfully that didn't happen.

[sarcasm]I heard there was a game tonight, but I'm not seeing anything anywhere.

Weird.[/sarcasm]

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

No Jrue. No Brook. No Bobby.

The box score showed Pat starting at Center.

Plus the Heat were playing their first game, while the Bucks battled Brooklyn two nights ago.

Concern Level = 0

My only complaint is I wish they would have just given Giannis the night off.

Bucks follow up the loss at Miami with their first win of the Bud era in San Antonio on Saturday & a win in Indy tonight with Giannis missing the triple double by one assist.

Ball movement has been outstanding. Allen has been better on both sides of the court than I expected. Finally, I had no clue rim protection was part of Nwora's game.

Gianni's On/Off to start the year is pretty insane with no minutes from DDV/Bobby yet & limited minutes from Brook/Jrue so far.

Giannis On (120 minutes) 115.8 ORtg | 103.1 DRtg (+12.7)

Giannis Off (72 minutes) 105.9 ORtg | 127.6 DRtg (-21.7)

The Bucks had a really nice deal going for Wednesday night. $21 for an upper level seat including a $10 food and bev voucher. They were't all bad either. Was able to get 4 tix in a center court section +$40 food and bev for $95 total.

Time to be a little better, Bucks.

Playing full strength Utah with no Khris, Jrue or Brook in the 2nd game of a back to back is about as much of a schedule loss as there is.

If Khris is well enough to play Tuesday against bottom feeder Detroit they should hopefully be a little better.

i don't think there was a city edition I really care for, but really not a fan of this years. https://www.nba.com/bucks/video/teams/bucks/2021/11/01/507775/1635773097303-2122citylaunch-1920x1080-507775

way too much going on here, trying to combine 3 uniforms into 1.

So they just added different color stripes? [sarcasm]That is just genius level lazyness![/sarcasm]

I wish they would bring back the red jersey's I think those were my favorite alternate jersey.

I'd like to see the Bucks, Packers and Brewers swap around colors. Makes for good marketing for soccer and hockey, too.

The powder blues would be cool. Could even do Marquette also with the blue. I don't think anyone would notice if the Bucks had the Packers colors and I don't think the Packers would were the Bucks purple because that would be hilarious though I think Packer fans would probably be outraged by it. Well some of the Packer fans who bought Favre Viking jerseys could then say they bought the Bucks game jersey's so there would be that.

Oh the red jerseys... *barf*. Sorry, I hated those. That color didn't make sense for a Buck except a dead Buck.

I actually like these city uniforms. It is a nod back to the 80s.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

With key players out, this is a Bad Bucks team. They're playing way too many 15th men on the floor. Will be nice to see some quality talent return at some point.

Grayson with his best game as a Buck so far last night, 25 points on 8-13 FG / 5-9 3P.

Back to back against NYK is probably a loss tonight, but looking at their next seven games after that - @BOS @ATL vsLAL vsOKC vsORL vsORL vsDET - they should hopefully be back on the right side of .500 by Thanksgiving.

Allen did have a great game last night. Its hard to judge them. Last night they really had no bigs besides Giannis and was eaten alive by Drummond. Once you get your starters back, you can truly judge this team. Last year proved it, it really doesn't matter your seed in the spring anyway once the playoffs start.

They played about two months more basketball than most everyone else in the League. Going thin for a good while to start the season is fine with me if it means the stars aren't totally burnt out toward the end, even if that means we take a few extra losses here and there.

This is proving to me what I thought all along, Lopez is way more important to this team than he's given credit for. Just having that anchor in the middle of the defense is huge.
