Today I was locking our equestrian gate like usual. A black Mustang drove by and had his signal on that he'd be turning in right next to me, which is odd as there's nothing there. Fortunately he ended up just doing a u-turn. His windows were tinted enough that I couldn't see into the vehicle at all. But once he got close to me the only thing I could see from inside the vehicle was the white Jason hockey mask he was wearing. Couldn't see clothes, skin, vehicle interior or anything else apart from the Jason mask. And he was leaning forward in the vehicle specifically to stare at me.

No chance to shake my fist as it gave me a pretty good start. I just headed to the campground to make sure he didn't drive into there. I don't immediately know if there's a "don't freak out the public" law, but I gotta figure it's in there somewhere and at least wouldn't have wanted him to hang out there.

Why is it that in the English language that Puerto is pronounced Porto? Shouldn't it be pronounced like where but replacing the w sounding part with a hard p sound?

Why is it that in the English language that Puerto is pronounced Porto? Shouldn't it be pronounced like where but replacing the w sounding part with a hard p sound?

My guess it comes down to laziness and slurring the sounds together to the point where the "ue" sound blends into an "o". Add in that Puerto pretty obviously translates to Port and it's real easy to just say Porto.

Is Craigslist no longer the place to go to sell relatively small used items cheap? I've had a 5-year-old working cable modem w/wi-fi router on there for 3 weeks for $2 and only one inquiry. Same w/a clay pottery kit that retails for $65.

Facebook is typically better. Either via marketplace or buy/sell groups.

Is it really worth taking your time for $2 items? I'd just donate them and use it as a tax write-off.
