With the limited appearances lately Hader might be a bit wild early.

To be fair, that inning lasted 45 minutes. Lot of time to think.

Especially when this league has teams that are actively tanking or using this season as a higher version of the minor leagues.

This just in, folks, despite adding FIVE errors to their Southern League leading tally, the Shuckers managed to end their 7 game losing streak 7-6. Whew. Five. Errors. I would probably add: Biloxi is now 13-15 despite themselves.?

The Dodgers are at 5.3 IP per game started.  I wonder if the Dodgers have world series aspirations?

THe league leaders, the Padres, are at 5.6 IP per game started, so their starters average exactly one more out than Brewers starters, per start.

The Brewers have had several recent starts where the starter hasn’t even gotten to the 6th inning, much less finish it. For a team that is supposed to have one of the best rotations in MLB playing in a league with scoring down they should be able to get a few more “quality starts”.

A win is a win. Thanks to Devin for making it more interesting than it should have been. Great games by Urias and Peralta and then Hader coming in big to shut the door.

"Should be able to get more quality starts?" They're second in the majors in quality starts. And they also are among the league leaders in average innings per start. Your eyes be deceiving you...Our starting pitching has been good despite the early struggles of Woodruff. Even Peralta seems to be returning to normal.

My eyes are focusing more on this last round of starts, where Houser, Ashby, Woodruff, and Peralta all failed to finish 6 innings, and the first 3 didn’t even make it to into the 6th. 
 

For pitchers who are touted as among the best in the league, Woodruff and Peralta aren’t covering a lot of innings.
