Wow, Christian Yelich has been better than Nicholas Castellanos this year. Almost like signing him to a huge 5 year deal with our market size wouldn't have necessarily been the best idea.

Just heard Counsell on MLB Radio … Renfroe returns tonight & Adames is “close” but will not be activated today (implied) …said he tweaked his hammy in Nashville - will go through a workout this afternoon - should be activated soon

Tweaking a hamstring when that wasn’t his original injury sounds a little troubling to me. In addition to his ankle sprain he’s now had quad discomfort and a tweaked hamstring in the last two weeks. 

You’re going to have to hold your breath every time he runs hard.

Don't worry, if somehow they get on base then Hunter Renfroe, with his 0.546 OPS with runners on will surely knock them in.

Can we please not turn the game thread into a negative haven/offense bashing zone? Particularly when the game hasn't even started yet. By all means, let's start bashing Hunter Renfroe, who is returning from injury today and possesses an .807 OPS.

Who has said that the Brewers are the greatest team on the planet and that they possess no flaws? I certainly haven't. And I know no one who has. But this in-game thread has degenerated into a negative hot space far too often, and the moderators of this site have already issued a warning about this.

Is the roof open tonight?  I think there are some Brewers hitters who might put some holes in the roof tonight if it's closed.  I feel there is going to be aggressive contact tonight a lot!

I hope this isn’t too negative, but I’m surprised they’re going with Alexander and sticking with the 6 day rotation instead of using Houser tonight. 
 

Despite his solid outing last week, I’m apprehensive about how Alexander will do against a team coming off a hot hitting weekend. Unless they think Woodruff will be able to start on Sunday, this corners them into using Alexander (or another fill in) before the Monday off day.

I think that Alexander was good enough last start that they will give him a few more to see what he can do and the Brewers really are committed to sticking with the 6 day rotation. Really the pitching isn't the problem it's the toothpick flickers for hitters.

Agree or disagree.  Counsell has a plan he is going to stick to it.
