Game Thread (6/11/2022): Brewers (Lauer) at Nationals (Corbin) - 3:05 PM CDT

While losing Peralta and Woodruf obviously hurts we can’t ignore the fact that the other 4 starters (Houser, Burnes, Lauer, and Ashby) are all stringing together crappy outings.

For a team that is supposed to have elite starting pitching these guys are not coming close to doing the job they have to do.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I remember being criticized for saying that June would tell us a lot about this team. Didn't think we would struggle with the few bad teams on the schedule but here we are.

We have no depth with the pitching and its catching up with us. The offense just flat out sucks even when we are at or near full strength as we are now.

Well I turned it on with the intention of enjoying a game-thanks brewers.  If woodruff continues to be out I don’t see us as a buyer come the trade deadline.

At least we have real good assets to sell starting with Hader.

The pressure on our pitchers to be perfect has to be a detriment , knowing if you give up a few  runs  your more than likely to take a loss.

I don’t disagree about pressure being on the starters to be perfect, but elite pitchers should respond to that pressure and keep the team in the game.

Jacob deGrom is a classic example of a pitcher just doing his job when he isn’t getting any run support.

This is starting to look a lot like late August and September of 2014 when the Brewers were getting pounded day after day after being in first place for much of the season. This is just happening earlier.

Brian Anderson saying he'd love to see us at the ballpark the next homestand but he'll probably be in Kansas or something for some stupid golf tournament.

For sure , wasn't making a excuses for him , he needs to pitch better. Just can't walk that many guys  unless of course your pitching against us right now , haven't had a big hit that matters in a long time.

It’s really unfair that some of these hitters on the Nats are just putting their bat on the ball and getting cheap hits.

Don’t they know they’re supposed to swing from the heels at all times trying to maximize their exit velocity?

Maybe our absentee GM should wake up and do something besides looking towards his next job.

Can you please stop posting this, as you have absolutely no evidence for this claim, and have repeated it non-stop at this point...We're all frustrated by the team's play, but still...

What other supposed contending teams would keep Cain on the roster and actually start him from time to time. Sorry that Stearns is out to lunch but he is.

According to Dillard Cain didn’t even leave the batters box as he watched that popup.
