Man do I wish our rotation was healthy... Cuz Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta, Lauer, Ashby... OMG, man nobody can come close to that rotation!!

Yes I know Houser, but he can move to bullpen, take Ashby's role.

MLB needs to schedule more day games. There's no good reason to start a getaway game at 7pm eastern.

I believe the teams have control of the start times unless it is a nationally televised game.  But I agree MLB needs to set a standard for the getaway games.

Yeah, the teams are the ones who decide, I was just using "MLB" interchangeably with "the 30 teams making individual decisions".

On top of the getaway day problem, having more baseball distributed throughout the day is better for the sport, especially young kids through the summer months. With 162 games for each team, there are plenty of games to spread around to different audiences instead of trying to tap 100% of one audience.

Is it just me, or have the Brewers been terrible on getaway day games this year? If so, glad this one is being played in the PM. Cinci isn't too far away from NYC.

I tend to not put a lot of stock in day/night splits, as the variance always seems large and doesn't seem to have much correlation year-over-year. So I honestly couldn't tell you whether the Brewers have been good or bad in day games.

Yeah, it really doesn't matter, but it does seem like they've played poorly during day games, especially on getaway days. Or maybe I'm wrong and have just been totally disoriented by the 8 game losing streak.

Well every one of those games was a getaway game.

The Brewers actually have done pretty well in day games to finish a series so far this season. But, like a lot of things, the perception is probably skewed by a few clunkers in the last few weeks, specifically home games against the Nats, Padres, and Phillies.

In just road series, where the Brewers always have to move on to a new city after the game, they are 8-3, 6-2 in day games.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

That’s fair. Those eight games seemed like a lot more than eight games. That stretch felt interminable.

It’s going to be hard to feel like the Brewers are getting out of their slump until they at least win a series. They haven’t won one since leaving San Diego 3 weeks ago (2 splits, 3 losses since then).

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

"He said" drinking game. I think I'm going to pass out tonight after that one.

What's the record for hitting in to double plays in a series ?

I don’t know about that, but the Brewers DP per DP opportunity ratio has been pretty bad lately.

If Urias’ thumb is the reason for his poor hitting, wouldn't it at least make sense not to hit him in the cleanup spot?

The genius of it is lost on us mere mortals.
