Tampas last four hitters are ugh

They're 12th in the AL in runs scored. For all the "our offense sucks" griping around here, I can imagine what a Rays message board must look like (if they have enough fans to have one, that is)

The Rays have had a lot of injuries, don’t play in the most hitter friendly park, and play in the toughest division in MLB. Yet their record and run differential are almost identical to the Brewers.

They are missing Brandon Lowe, Kiermeier and Zunino, and Franco is just back after missing 23 games.

The Rays are 8-1 against NL Central teams, 2-0 against the Marlins, and 3-7 against the Yankees. So, their fans are probably wishing they could swap divisions with the Brewers.

When pop outs and 300 foot fly outs are on the list of hardest hit balls, it’s kind of meaningless.

Well it explains why its 1-0 in the 6th.  Nothing hit hard...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Hit ‘‘em where they ain’t.

And they ain’t on the other side of the fence.

The Brewers have had Adames, Renfroe, Wong, Urias, Brossau and Narvaez all out for significant amounts of time as well.  As you've pointed out yourself, everyone has to deal with injuries.

This guy may be a slider specialist, but he has hung a few.

And just like that the hardest hit ball chart just changed drastically.

Brett Phillips might be the one guy in the league with bigger swing and miss issues than Keston Hiura.

His stat line on the season is making Lo Cain proud.

This offense is a lot better than people on here give credit for. It may be light on star power compared to a team like the Blue Jays or the Cardinals but there are no automatic outs anymore and everybody's capable of having a day.

Yes, I’m glad you have noted that I have made that point about injuries. That is exactly why I raised the Rays injuries.

A lot of posters here seem to think that the Brewers have had an abnormal number of injuries relative to other teams, and I don’t think that’s necessarily true.

Look at some of the long term injuries to All Star caliber players the Mets, Padres, and Braves have dealt with.
