I've been a Brewers fan for just a few years.  But in that short time, I have come to see a 2-1 loss as typical and predictable due to better than average pitching and a punchless offense that seldom comes through when it matters.

Unbelievable to struggle against such a mediocre team … 

There is zero excuse for not trading earlier for a quality outfielder

This team - as it is constructed - won’t win the division … much less a playoff series

Burnes would be unwise to sign an extension with Milwaukee … he’s too good & management is too cheap 

I love this team, but I’m disgusted with their frugal ways - we’ve lost at least five games this year by trying to patch the team together rather than acquire capable major league talent

Just pathetic.  Burnes throws an absolute gem and NO OFFENSE to help.  

A 2-1 loss is never a surprise, but it still stinks.

His last two ABs he had the right idea, oppo-field wise. But in the 8th he was really cognizant about getting the ball up in the air. Self-defeating, and especially moronic with the infield in. He's just one of these guys who is particularly horrible when he gets into a funk.
