I haven't looked at the numbers either, but I disagree. My eye test tells me Rowdy saves this infield quite a few throwing errors. His range is below average, but otherwise I think he has pretty good hands

I agree. I also was not convinced  Hiura was on the bag. Rays Could’ve viewed the challenge as not being worth it with two outs and a man on first.

You can prevent as many runs as you want but if you can’t score , you won’t win. I wish we had gotten a bat that could have made some difference at the deadline. It’s been stated several times - Adames seems to be trying too hard to hit homers. Can’t have a 2 hitter that over swings consistently.

Starting to look like 2 runs might be it for today. Not much action since the first.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Springs is a good pitcher. Let's see if we can get something going off their bullpen in the next few innings cause Woody is in great shape with his pitch count.

Woodruff had had trouble the last couple of times he’s pitched into the seventh. Can’t afford that today.

Hiura being jerked around again.
1.067 OPS against righties in 2022—- 84 PA

CC just trying to make everybody happy in the dugout ... not so much in the stands!  ?

And CC subs Tellez for Keston....what in the hell are U doing CC???

Tellez was the better option given the pitching matchup.  A RHP who has a good fastball will just dominate Hiura at the top of the strike zone.  Hiura can’t hit high fastballs.

I will keep saying it, no matter what some of you think. CC needs to be replaced NOW!! His decisions have become totally worthless!!

And you'll continue to be told you're wrong.     You're upset about leaving in an ace type pitcher who's dealing in the 7th inning when he only has 70 something pitches thrown?   Bring in Boxberger and he gives up a run and you'd be saying how can you take out one of your aces at 75 pitches!! Take a deep breath.

CC has turned into a mental midget this year. It’s hard to watch. Huira could hit 3 homers and get pulled 4th at bat.
fully expect to see Suter and him serve a half dozen runs at this pint. Smh.

Yet somehow he continues to keep hitting.    I get he's not perfect and has holes, so does pretty much everyone on our team.  But if you grab many players and just say don't play them because they can't hit if pitched this pitch you won't be left with many players.

And our ACE gives up a go ahead HR. I never implied anything about removing Woody, in fact I thought he might stay & pitch in the 8th.

apologies then, I assumed that's what you were referencing.     Either way, CC has proven to be one of the best manager's in the league even if we can all nitpick things and of course he makes mistakes

Boxberger looked like he ate a box of burgers before pitching today ... some days are like that.

Hoby-Won-Kenoby can bail us out ... let's make the Rays batters look dopey!
