3-0 record in the Garrett Mitchell era.

I didn’t say anything negative about Keston tonight

He’s played much better in the last month

My frustration has been the “team” underperforming most of the year - offense, defense, & pitching

Not sure why you made your comment in response to my reply to your dig

I'm confused. Your reply wasn't to me, Keithstone made the original comment. I'm actually agreeing with your assertion that it's silly to put "taking sides" over winning the game & pointing out that many seem to be guilty of that. Not insinuating you are.

I really hope they don't mess with that swing. Good hand position and proper bat angle at launch and fairly flat through the zone.

Can all the Hiura-haters please STFU for the rest of the season?
One of you even blamed him for the pickoff Burnes threw away, when the only way he could have caught that ball was to body-slam the runner and catch the ball in front of his still-twitching corpse.

He's imperfect, like all our players are. If you persist, I'll have to assume there's something wrong with you. And the most-likely explanation (to me) is that you're a xenophobe.

God Bless.

I've acknowledged that I was wrong about him. His production outweighs all the Ks at this point, and the adjustments that he's made to his swing seem to have really made a difference.

My comment was moreso directed at his general negativity towards the brewers, not specific to hiura.

It shouldn't be an either-or, particularly because McCutcheon has been decent a good chunk of this year when other parts of the lineup weren't....McCutcheon hasn't had an OPS over 0.700 against RHP since 2019 and mashes LHP.  Hiura, despite small sample size alerts, hits much better against RHP compared to lefties.  It's a natural DH platoon situation that hasn't been allowed to happen consistently and it's really frustrating.

Don't disagree with that. Just find the taking sides thing has gotten somewhat out of control (not pointing at you).

Prime tactic of someone losing a debate is to accuse the opposition of being racist.

Well played, sir.

IGTs go downhill when the team isn't that much fun to watch play and onfield results are uninspiring, because there just isn't as much consistent interest.  When the Brewers were consistently awful and expected to be awful, IGTs were almost therapeutic, comic relief while also 'playing the long game' with hopes that at some point the MLB ship would turn around and we Brewer fans would have a winning team to follow.  Now that we have a winning organization, the expectations have muted looking for silver linings game to game and those threads always shade towards pessimistic.  As this season winds down and we start seeing young players get their feet wet and if the team as a whole puts together a hot streak, hopefully there are more points of view from different posters who largely haven't been chiming in.

I do think there's a difference in these threads this season compared to previous versions of BF.net simply because there isn't a large enough volume of different posters weighing in a handful of times throughout the course of a game to get to 11-12 pages...they've devolved into 4-6 posters going back and forth and rehashing tired arguments/disputes from a bunch of other threads that almost makes you wonder if everyone posting on the thread is actually watching the game.

Cool - you are the man

Can I have your autograph?

Came to read the posts from Mitchell’s HR and instead it’s another off the rails IGT.  This is an odd take, your a site “caretaker” and your just going to mock people for trying to be positive?  Nothing informational, nothing baseball related even in your post.  You just made a post to mock someone.

This is quite incredible and just so wrong. Where did I ever say "I'm the only level-headed baseball thinker." You won't find it, because I never said it. There are actually a lot of level-headed thinkers on here and it's the main reason why I decided to join this site in the first place. But what has become intolerable is people like you who blow up threads with your constant negative crap.

You aren’t blowing up the threads with your nonsense?.   You have a go at all the posters.   All of them.   You’ve been told multiple times to tone it down

I’m ok with it as long as the poster  can take it as well as give it

Here’s some advice   You don’t know anymore than anyone else on here    Once people start with that then maybe you wouldn’t see so much taking down to people which leads to the negativity that people are wetting their pants over

im sorry but this team is as disappointing a brewers team as I remember and people are going to be really frustrated and no lucky win over the pirates after whatever losses in a row is going to be an i told you so moment

Burnes pitched okay. 2 light hitting singles below 80mph exit velo followed by a nearly below bottom of strike zone 2strike pitch that a behemoth of a SS happened to slug out. Harp on Cruz being a poor hitter except vs us. Dude is 6-7 and in his 1st 162 games played. How's Aaron Judge this year? Unlucky inning that also had poor strike zone calls often today.

Mitchell with a HR and a walk that lead to first run.  That should earn him 2 more starts this series.  Hope Counsell can stop himself from managing poorly(like removing Peterson for Urias PH)

Not big on the whole Padres commentary having such a tough schedule remaining. 9games vs Dodgers will make it skewed that high. We were 3-4 vs LA. Expect a 4-5 record in those 9 games. Now how is their remaining schedule?

More talk about baseball-Brewers less talk about commenter's opinions. And last word in battling.

I feel like there's some Mat Gamel in that swing, but I could be misremembering.

How’s about all the positive posters stop ******** about all the negative comments and all the negative posters stop complaining about the optimistic comments. It seems that the anger and frustrations are being directed against the members, just like what is seen in political discussions.

Again, please point out where I've said I know more than everybody else, thank you. I don't think you'll find it. I actually come here because there's people who know more about the game than me and I appreciate their insight. You seem to think you know a lot about my personal life suggesting I wasn't away at dinner when I was out with my SO on our anniversary.

This is the right take.   And if I disagree with your baseball take I don’t that think you are stupid or wrong etc.    it’s just a discussion

I was sure Mat Gamel was going to have a career in the majors. Didn't turn out that way.

Agreed. If you don't agree with a take just ignore it. It's not that hard really.

The moral of the story with Keston is that when your tool is your bat you gotta hit. The dude had a 51 OPS+ for a full season. That’s not going to win you many believers.

And yet… he’s only 2 years older than Garrett Mitchell. Keston basically has his whole career ahead of him if he keeps hitting the ball. And we already know he’s capable of doing it.
