Gosh these threads are unbearable. I figure there must be some excitement with the Mitchell hr, a handful of positive comments and the whiners are back in full force.

One of them will probably be getting a timeout for a while.

Great HR no doubt

Love Mitchell

Frustrating team & season

All are true

That’s not whining - just truth

I see what you did there - jinxed into a game winning Keston hit for his next AB.

This is the same story repeating itself - Hiura isn't playing everyday at the MLB level and it's impossible to know whether it's the sporadic playing time (particularly against RHP) leading to hitting struggles or not.  He also continues to be the one hitter on this roster that gets jerked around so much - last I checked he's still got the highest OPS on the team or is at least right where Renfroe currently is.

ahem....

I’ve become a big hiura fan again.  Shutting up many on this board and CC/ Stearns time and time again!

It wouldn’t be an official game thread without this quote

i actually think there is going to be a plaque installed in Pittsburgh with this quote on it

Now this is the funniest comment tonight. Oh, and by the way did you know the Padres have the second most difficult schedule remaining this year?

And this is why I’ll keep coming back, and they’ll keep hurting me, but I’ll have games like tonight. And it’ll be good.

I doubt he would be playing any better with more plate appearances.  Hiura is what he is.  Someone who will get hot for awhile and then will be absolutely ice cold for long stretches.  This looks like it is the beginning of a long cold streak for Hiura.

This comment sure aged well. Remind me to listen to your take more often.

Keston Hiura, king of the walk off
