Three-way trade with A's, Braves; Brewers get William Contreras

I think it's Adames, folks...

I don't think so. That position is too much of premium for the Brewers to send a young, controllable piece away. I believe Arnold when he said they would like to keep the core intact.

If it's Ruiz for Contreras straight up.... that would make me kind of happy

Ruiz totally fine with that... Really hope Frelick, Wiemer are still on the team.

Burnes, Woody or Adames cant be involved right?? We would have heard those names right away.

There's gotta be at least one more major piece that the Brewers are trading...

If Ruiz is it then a statue of Matt Arnold needs to be put up in place of Bob Uecker as the face of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Guessing it's going to include one of the other young OF prospects not named Chourio, too.  Or a young arm + Hiura

I was actually hoping Ruiz would remain a Brewer when the offseason dust settled and have a legit shot at regular playing time in Milwaukee - I think he's going to be good.  That being said, Chourio is probably taking the OF MLB playing time from a couple of the group of AAA OFs (Mitchell, Frelick, Ruiz) in a season or two, and now is probably as good a time as any to deal from a position of depth at the top of their system.

I'd guess there's a non-ace pitcher involved, like maybe Ashby

I think he's pretty firmly considered an offense-first catcher, though he's also just 24.

By Baseball Prospectus metrics, his catching was slightly below average last season.  Pretty much average in terms of framing and blocking pitches, but well below average in throwing.
