Might as well go to bed instead of watching the worst ball and strike calling I have seen since that Miami playoff game years ago.

Hopefully one of you who follows these things can provide us with the analysis of how bad this has been. It’s no fun to watch.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Is it possible that the awful off center camera angle has something to do with all these calls looking so terrible?

If the calls were an inch or 2 maybe. But all bad calls look 4-6 inches inside or low.

The batters didn't like the calls early on. Now they've just given up.

Inside, outside, low.  This has just been bad.

Not unless they are using a different camera angle when the DBacks are up.

They look just as terrible on Gameday.

No. They look just as terrible on savant and gameday.

Complain about the ump all you want…but we are down 3-0 because we are playing absolutely terrible offensively and everyone looks like a bunch of quitters in the 6th/7th inning.

Gallen had no command at the start of this game and the ump totally bailed him out of getting into trouble. Gallen then gets time to find his command and now went 7 scoreless. Bad umps just have way too significant of an impact on the game.

We are down 3-0 because when Gallen had no clue where his stuff was going, the ump bailed him out with countless terrible strike calls. That settled Gallen down and allowed him to go 7 innings when his pitch count should have been around 55 through 2 innings.

Haven’t watched the D Backs SS basically make three errors or one of their batters strikeout on a pitch clock violation. Their starter also didn’t cause a pitch clock violation to help walk a guy.

This is arguably the worst umpiring performance I have watched in…maybe ever. But we have zero runs and have seen 90% more correct calls than bad calls. Yet we haven’t done anything with 100% of them.

None of those errors led to runs so pretty sure that has nothing to do with the score being 3-0.

I agree. I can't remember the last time I thought an ump played a significant role in the outcome of the game with balls and strikes calls.
