yeah based on the Kluber story it will probably be longer than a month.

I will not be surprised in the least if he is either done for the season, or comes back in August at the earliest.

I think it’ll be right in the middle of this prognosis and mid-may. So around the all-star break/deadline.

Maybe Woodruff can buck the history of Brewers aces being out much longer than the original projections. 
 

Us old timers were stung by cases like Teddy Higuera and Juan Nieves in addition to more recent examples like Ben Sheets and Jimmy Nelson.

Woody really has no incentive to push it to come back this season. If he comes back and gets hurt again that would be terrible for his future. If he misses the rest of the season but is healthy in 2024 it won't matter whether he missed 3 months or 5 months in 2023.

Yeah, this is the exact opposite of the perspective he adopted in his interview the other day...
