Been a great ride this season. So cool to see the young guys getting their chances. Rea hung in there last night, and the bullpen has been great. I feel as if they have strung together hits in an inning more times than they did all of last year. 6-3 on a west coast trip blows my mind.

I know this is a game thread, sorry for the optimism!

Brewers prospect Sal Frelick is out of Triple-A Nashville's lineup on Wednesday because of a thumb injury.

On his 23rd birthday, too. A healthy Frelick might be a candidate for a callup to Milwaukee as a result of Garrett Mitchell's injury. However, he's not off to a very good start this year, having hit .232/.318/.321 in 15 games for Nashville.

Was hoping the D-backs could finish off the sweep today, but then I realized Madison Bumgarner was pitching...That's one contract that's nearly as bad as Yelich's.

For a split second I got excited thinking that was Chi Chi going for the Ms tonight, until I saw LHP.

I took a quick look on bref.  In case you're wondering (and you're probably not) Chi Chi is with Miami's AAA club with a very Chi Chi like 1.5 WHIP this season so far.

Marco is a contact pitcher who doesn't crack 90. He pounds the strike zone and gets a ton of ground balls when he's on. The key to beating him is hitting his misses out of the park. He's been a little wild this year so the Brewers need to take their BBs today if he's not throwing strikes.

A soft tossing lefty against the Brewers less than imposing batting order against LHP does not inspire optimism.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

How is anybody supposed to hit this guy?

There's a reason he's basically top 2 in every single pitching stat among RP since 2020.

Yahoo gamecast still has last nights Win probability graphic in it. I'm a big fan of the 100% win probability in the top of the 2nd.

Gonzales seems like he's going to be the typical soft tossing lefty that shuts us down and approaches a career high in Ks

He's never had a double digit strikeout game in his career. Hopefully that continues to be true at the end of the day.

I don’t fully trust Lauer, okay? How’s that?
