Yeah, not sure Rowdy makes that same play if he was in there.

Carroll would have been next up, though I guess first base would have open, but if you walk him that brings the winning run to the plate so maybe instead…

That one-out walk can't happen, with bases empty & a two run lead. Not against this team. But a great play by Miller, threading the needle on that throw to 2B with the runner btwn him & Adames.

Yeah that's kinda hard to be mad at Devin. When a guy takes 2 of his changeups that cross the plate but just low of the zone?  If they are a fastball that's a strike in the top 1/3rd of the zone they just watched go by. Batter is supposed to swing at that. He got lucky guessing a changeup coming twice and took them hoping it'd be ball. I'd be mad at Devin if he walked a guy because he couldn't throw anything near over the plate. That he can't do unless he was pitching around a hot Carroll.
