for the second outing in a row Teheran isn’t fooling anyone

He had to come back to earth

Sadly, he pitched well enough to win three games where he got no run support

There is no respect for the arm of Christian Yelich.  lol

Maybe a couple of failures to make spectacular plays but, for the second outing in a row Teheran isn’t fooling anyone.

Getting to be about midnight for cinderalla.

That Brewer line up is......stunning....

Sadly, I don't think any lineup is going to be able to keep up with the Cubs vs. Teheran today!

Party time for Cubs fans. Not looking forward to seeing Teheran face the Reds lineup Sunday if the Brewers stick with the 6 man rotation.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Wilson time?

Nah……no reason to burn a long reliever now……17 games in a row…..he’s going to have to wear it for a few more innings……..Clayton andrews and JB going to get some run today you would think.

They’re throwing Houser on Wednesday, so it’s clear that they’re sticking with it into the break. Best thing would be to come up with a fake injury for Teheran and call up Gasser.

Yelich’s arm and a runner going from first to third with two outs is not in the top 100 of the Brewers problems.

I wouldn’t look forward to watching a guy making his MLB debut face that lineup either. Between Abbott on Saturday and whoever for the Brewers on Sunday the Reds are going to have pitching advantages in that series too, not to mention a much stronger lineup.

I wouldn’t put it past Gasser to befuddle the Reds for a day. They’ve been a hot lineup for the past month or so, but they’re still very young and they’re not the 20s Yankees.

Ummm, did someone say it was?  If so, I missed it.

Didn't Gassser start off the season not all that great?

Everyone knows Yelich has a weak arm, but bringing it up on an irrelevant play in an irrelevant part of the game seems odd.

Yes, he was having a continuation of his second-half control issues from last year. But he's seemingly fixed that (only 4 BBs in June) and has been outstanding for a month-plus now.

They gave Yelly a triple? That’s generous……

Ironically, right after Levering made a sarcastic comment about Turang not getting a hit yesterday because of a “questionable (no surprise)” scoring decision in Pittsburgh.

I hope he wasn’t talking about the dribbler that the pitcher threw away.
