I would say adding De La Cruz and Votto gives the Reds a better offense than when the Brewers played them in June.

Not true. Among 1B with 100+ innings, Miller is in the top 5 statistically.

Hate the blowing of leads and all, but Brewers baseball is a lot more fun when I actually think we could score runs in each and every inning. These last two weeks of games have been fantastic.

You can’t pitch around every good hitter in a strong lineup.

100 innings is a pretty tiny sample to draw much conclusive data from for a defender. Miller might have decent stats at first, but he doesn't appear to pass the eye test, at least initially. We'll see how much time he gets over there, and if the data backs up perception over time.

WIth first and third and less than two outs, (and a three run lead) you can't really pitch around (or put someone on) guys. Aside from that, as BruisedCrew said, the Reds are stacked offensively almost top to bottom of lineup. Pitching around Votto for another .800+ OPS guy to bat is bad baseball.

Maybe the key is to not throw an average fastball to Brewer Killer Votto over the middle of the plate with a couple runners on base
