Imagine thinking plugging bats like CJ Cron etc into this lineup would move the needle. If that's all you're going to do, don't bother. That's actually insulting to Brewer fans. Go big, or stand pat and punt on the rest of the season.

They think Rowdy is going to move the needle so....

Chourio + for arenado and goldschmidt.

I hope a lot of you are starting to understand after watching Weimer and Turang "hit" this year, that prospects are just that. Prospects. If the crew doesn't do something big this year then they simply don't care about trying to win a World series. I'm tired of the pussy footing around and making minor trades every year at the deadline and valuing their prospects so highly. That's BS. Trade whatever you have to trade to get some BIG, proven bats. Don't tell me they aren't available. Everyone is available for the right price.

Yeah on any forum you're going to get a good number of people who are extreme prospect huggers.  No matter how big of sure fire can't miss prospect you have coming up, over 50% of the time they will not stick as a big league regular.  Be aggressive, use the top prospects for big trades when you have the chance to compete.  We need three more hitters in this lineup, then they have a legitimate chance at this thing.

Now THIS is the kind of thinking I like, and I wish the Front office would think big like this. Do something bold for once. Cripes, this is quite possibly the last season you'll have Burnes and Woody, just f'n go for it for once! It reminds me a lot of the Packers never truly "going for it" with Arodg, even though they claimed they were in 2021 because they re signed a bunch of their own guys. That's not "going for it".

Given Woodruff has been out all year. Same with Lauer. Miley banged up and no Ashby I am floored that this organization is going to miss one last chance to compete for the first world series in 40 years because of lack of hitting. It's so weird.

How did Wiemer get to the show with these mechanics?

That can be said for a pretty much any brewer that's came out of the minor league system in the last 10 years.

Frelich is the only exception so far.

There’s just no way he’s every going to be even going to be a decent hitter hitting the way he does.

Nope, he's a cornerstone.

He'd be an awesome slow pitch hitter.

Does Weimer know what the term "plate approach" means?

No.  He just stands there flailing at pitches.

I would also add that if we are going to move Burnes/Woodruff in the offseason there is not a better time to trade some prospects for a bigger bat or two. Hypothetically, you could reduce your prospect loss, substantially, by doing what we all know management is likely to do.

Another example of a well-pitched game that we can easily lose because management has been unwilling to make a trade for a bat or promote Toro or Black or (God forbid) Hiura in advance of the actual deadline

Why not be one of the first to make a trade & get a bat early?

Milwaukee has no margin for error … if they give up a few runs, the game is in jeopardy

I am definitely worried about Frelick now that he's here. That quick short approach especially with two strikes is going to be tested by being around this group. I could see the hitting coaches saying something like look here son you may have been able to get on base and hit 300 down there but here we swing at everything and try to hit home runs even with two strikes. Let's go.

lol.  The Cards aren't gonna give us Arenado abd Goldschmidt.

Of course you don't.

Facts are facts. Abbott has been excellent against the Brewers.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

New strategy for the Reds:  don’t swing at anything Uribe throws and hope the ump arbitrarily decides 4 out of the first 6 are balls…
