This is what @sveumrules wrote on Tuesday as the game was completed today, as the scoreboard will show:

DSL1 is suspended trailing 7-6, top of ten, bases loaded, two outs. Will be completed Aug 10.

Barring substitution they will have Jhon Benscome, Joan Gutierrez and Luiyin Alastre due up bottom of ten. Yophery due up fifth.

Yophery Rodriguez (2-3, 2xBB, SB), Yannic Walther (0-2, 3xBB), and Tyler Rodriguez (1-2, BB, 2xSB) have been busy on the bases while Wilfredo Cordero and Oliver Camilo have the only scoreless IP with a walk/strikeout each in each of their innings.

@damuelle Incorporate as you wish in Thursday's overnight Link Report -

Final, completion of August 8th suspended game: DSL Braves 7, DSL Brewers #1 Squad 6, ten innings

Box Score / Wrap

When Mother Nature intervened Tuesday it was quite late, the Braves had just scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th (on a wild pitch, sigh), and had the bases loaded with two outs looking for more. The Cerveceros had the same pitcher try to extract himself with his own inherited runners two days later, and 22-year-old 2nd-year RHP Roman Perez did just that, ending the inning with a backwards K.

Looking to at least tie the game in the bottom of the 10th, Team Uno went down meekly, with two flyouts to left field wrapped around a strikeout. Game over.

Brewer pitchers walked eight and plunked four in this game.

The team's one error, on a pitcher pickoff, did not lead to additional damage, the club turned three double plays, and 17-year-old wunderkid Yophery Rodriguez, playing RF in this one, threw out a runner at third base, so defense was solid.

Rodriguez (2-3, 2xBB, SB), Yannic Walther (0-2, 3xBB), and Tyler Rodriguez (1-2, BB, 2xSB) were busy on the bases while Wilfredo Cordero and Oliver Camilo had the only scoreless IP with a walk/strikeout each in each of their innings. (hat tip to @sveumrules for those notes initially posted on Tuesday).

Postponed by lightning: DSL Brewers 1 at DSL Braves

Looks like the clubs were fortunate to complete the suspended game.

The scoreboard says postponed, not canceled, but we don's see another matchup between the clubs. They may sneak the makeup into a future day off. Regular season ends Tuesday August 22nd.

Postponed by lightning: DSL Guardians Blue at DSL Brewers 2

Similar story here, teams not scheduled to face off again (at least not via the regular season schedule as it sits today)

The High-A Timber Rattlers strive for a third straight win over Dayton at home. RHP Alexander Cornielle needs a bounce-back start. 3B Mike Boeve has 3 HRs and 9 RBIs in his last 3 games (ACL/High-A) played.

Does this say he had 13 K's in July but only 9 on the season?

YES. Which is hilarious.

He has a 38:23 BB:K ratio.

Which is fantastic. I don't know who cobbled that together.😅

Wow, Tellez mashed that first pitch, so unlucky to hit the second baseman with the line drive.

Apparently just 92 mph but the eye test didn't quite match that?

Black walks and steals a base before Hours swings at a pitch so far down and away, he genuinely couldn't have hit it with a bat twice the size. Lauer got in a little trouble early but somehow, a great modern mystery, his stuff plays up as usual and he gets two strikeouts with men on first and second to close the book on the first inning

RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez takes the hill for AA Biloxi, which needs to snap a 5-game losing streak including two at home against Tennessee.

Here’s AAA Nashville’s lineup for Game 1 of its doubleheader in Indianapolis, as it seeks to triple its 1-0 series lead. How many innings will LHP Eric Lauer throw?

RHP Patricio Aquino has 5 K through 3 IP. Mudcats lead 3-1 on the heels of a DH Jace Avina solo shot (also has a BB) and a two-run jack by CF Kaylan Nicasia.

Sounds are knotted at 0-0 headed to the 8th frame. They do not have a single XBH and are 0-for-3 with RISP (3B Tyler Black walked and added a SB). Clean outings from Lauer, Andrews, and Megill who just completed his 2nd inning with 0 H, 0 BB, and 2 K.

I just checked the box score and saw that Chourio is sitting after just two AB tonight.

Did anyone catch anything?

Wondering same thing. Please don’t be serious!!

I watched it back just now. Not much obvious to see, although it was a weird camera angle all AB. He took a few violent hacks in the AB, but as he walked off the field and they did a close up of him he was just shaking his head - didn't look injured. Couldn't really tell anything. Hope he's fine

Biloxi bullpen already on schedule to blow the game tonight. I also have no clue why those runs are listed as earned runs for Rodriguez. Should surely be unearned. Error, K, BB then he was pulled. Middendorf comes in and gets a ground out then gives up a 3 run HR. Inning should have been over when the HR was hit, so I don't know why those would be considered earned runs.

Nashville won the first game of today’s doubleheader in extra innings, now tries to make it a 3-0 series lead in Indianapolis, with RHP Evan McKendry making his 2nd start with the Sounds.
