Hasn't gone multiple innings since the first game in August, wouldn't expect more than two out of him. What we have here is an excellent ground ball merchant, and I think he'll likely thrive against the Brewers contact oriented hitters. Who knows what comes next, but this is a taxed bullpen with more September innings than any team in MLB, something hopefully the Brewers can take advantage of

Edward Cabrera probably going to be the bulk guy here.

If that's the case, he matches up brilliantly with the Brewers. High walk rates suggest a lack of control, and when people chase they struggle against him. If not, you'll get a lot on base (he's 2nd percentile walk rate this season with a 15.3% rate)

Just coming back from the IL, he'll not be in too long I imagine, and the rustiness could be to his detriment.

If they're going to coalesce for one last run, now is the time.

well, next season is also a distinct possibility if they don't get a massive haul for Burnes in an offseason trade

It's technically possible but given how Stearns and Arnold seem to operate, it's hard to envision everybody coming back in 2024 unless something crazy happens like the Brewers win the World Series.

Which I'm okay with happening, FTR.

Confirmed: Rodgers' season over with a torn Achilles. Really unfortunate. That was going to a fun story this year.

Was really hoping the Jets would go like 7-10 and the pack would have a borderline top 10 pick.

This must be a typo. I've been assured our offense is pathetic.

I'm sure you're not talking to me.  😶   I hope I continue to be wrong for the next 2 months.

Well, the offense was pretty pathetic. And now they're doing better. So I choose to believe that the players read this bulletin board in their team meetings and understood it was time to pick things up a little bit.

I know this is not a football site, But I get the Wisoconsin connexion.  I neither hate nor love Rodgers or the Pack as a rule, though I have liked the Packers in recent years.  I have NEVER liked the Jets.

But this is a sad development of any NFL fan.  I wanted to see AR play, for better or worse.  I won't be glad for any player to be injured (though I might laugh quietly to myself if Deion Sanders accidentally cut out his own tongue).

No doubt that the experts here have made all the difference. Keep it up, folks!

Looking forward to the first time someone can use foie gras in a limerick…..

I doubt I'm up to the challenge, but I admire this.

Granted:

There once was a pitcher Chargois

Who dined on a pre-game meal: foie gras

His fastball was subpar

His curveball was hit far

And he lost the game to Peralta

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The pitcher they sent was Chargois

His pitches as fat as foie-gras.

Our batters said “cool”

As they started to drool,

And said "we’ll hit baseballs so far!"
