Arcia's a "public" figure. The legal threshold for defamation for public figures in the US is as high as it gets. i.e., actual malice. So, no chance.

If he starts to receive death threats for something he never said, does that change anything?  For the record I hope that doesn’t happen but sports fans are crazy and they’re going to blame him.

Very unlikely the quotes are fake…….there were lots of reporters with tape recorders …….nobody has pushed back on it.

You should be seeing from some of the lies that have been thrown around in the political arena how difficult it is for a public figure to sue successfully for defamation.

The Braves and Dodgers had a week to line up their rotations and this was the best they could do in game 4?

Game 3 not 4. This is why before the Woodruff injury I thought we could make a run because the Dodgers pitching staff is not at all good by playoff standards.

Thanks for the correction. We clearly would have had the advantage against the Dodgers although I doubt we could have matched this performance by Arizona.

What the Dodgers need is Corbin Burnes. They will get Buehler back next season, but they need an ace.

Kershaw might be done this time.

Even the Dodgers couldn’t survive losing Buehler, May, Gonsolin and Urias all at once.

And of course the DBACKS got red hot at exactly the right time for no rhyme or reason.

Just sucks that it's a pretty strong FA SP class. Hopefully that doesn't impact a potential Burnes trade market.

That's true just given the choice I trust the big bats over the good to decent pitching. Brewers pitching never seems to show up as advertised so let's try something new.

Our pitching was pretty good in 2021. Only gave up 12 runs in 4 games against the Braves. Our offense just disappeared.
