I remember requesting Alvarez along with Puig for a Braun deal.  Others wanted Bellinger plus at the time which was completely unrealistic and ridiculous.  I was told for Braun the Brewers needed someone better than Alvarez at the time.

Interesting. That's a pretty narrow window you are claiming you made that comment in. Alvarez was a Dodger for less than 2 months between June and August 2016.

I know just saying if I were the GM we would have traded Braun for Alvarez trust me bro!

Orioles are stacked with future bats and I'd still love to get Rodriguez, but I think that ship has sailed.  They desperately need an ACE!

Would love it if we could work something out with them or the Dodgers.

Yeah you’d think the Orioles, Dodgers, Padres, Rangers, etc would all get in a bidding war for Burnes. Arnold should do the smart thing and unload Burnes for a haul while he still can.

Having a superstar hitter like Harper is SO valuable in playoff games.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Must be nice to be able to go out and sign a Bryce Harper or a Trea Turner in his prime...

Also, Braves basically decided to start Adrian Houser in a must win game.

Citizens Bank Park is absolutely electric. Has to be one of the best atmospheres in the MLB.

There are no home field advantages in baseball. Except in Philadelphia apparently.

45,000 were all thinking the same thing and Harper delivered. Again.

If the Brewers had beaten the Dbacks and were tied 1-1 (or better) vs. the Dodgers, I have a feeling Am Fam would be similar. Brewers fans have gotten a little complacent.

I don’t think Brewers fans are complacent. I didn’t go to either playoff game this year but from reports I heard and what I could tell on TV the crowds were pretty fired up for both games.

Seeing your ace pitcher serve up 3 gopher balls to surrender a 3 run lead will take the starch out of any crowd.

I was at the first game. It was loud at points and you're right that Burnes surrendering gopher balls and a three run lead didn't help matters, but I just didn't get the sense of anticipation and excitement that I have from previous playoff games, like in 2018 or even 2021.

Completely agree.  That place is nuts.

Bats. Bats. Bats. You can talk all you want Brewers about pitching but in the playoffs give me the guys who can change a game with one swing. Rangers too. You know Astros going to hit. The thing is you can pitch around one guy maybe even two but when you are stacked a hit and a walk become three runs.

The Phillies are murdering the ball too

On the other hand, the Braves have the most stacked lineup of them all and are struggling with the Phillies because their pitching has gone in the tubes....

I mean they have scored 7 runs in 3 games. They would be struggling even if their pitching was doing well because their offense has only shown up in 1 game.

Honestly if it turns out that Arcia didn’t say what he was quoted, I hope he takes legal action.  If he can that is.

Not sure if you’re serious but there’s nothing there that would be a cause for a valid legal action.

True. I'm just saying pitching and defense will keep you in games and is generally more reliable than slugging which is prone to power outages. Case in point, the Braves.

Yeah I’m serious.  I’d think that’s slander or defamation.  You can’t go around providing fake quotes.  That’s dangerous.  Especially in sports where emotions run extremely high.
