YES Bears got another good pick with Kiran Amegadjie!  Won't be able to start right away but he should be a good LT in a year or two.

I really hate that pick.

I was hoping y'all would stick with Braxton Jones over the long run! I think he could come in and have an impact right away before supplanting Jones.

What beer company does Anheuser-Busch not own?  I swear AB InBev owns just about every single one.

When I was there they bought Blue Point (NY), Devil's Backbone (VA), Four Peaks (AZ), Golden Road (CA), Breckenridge Brewery (CO), 10 Barrel (OR), and Elysian (WA).  I believe they sold a couple of them to Tilray in the last year or so.

It was an on-premise play - you want a toasted lager, we have Blue Point.  You want a Vienna lager, we have Devil's Backbone.  You want a Scotch Ale, we have Four Peaks.  You want IPAs, we have Elysian and 10 Barrell.

Didn't work out for them.

My goodness, y'all. Gutey is on a BENDER and it won't quit. I am shocked at Day 2 we are having. Let's bring her home with another banger.

Maybe TJ Tampa next?

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

May be the best LB group we’ve seen for a long time in Green Bay which isn’t saying much

surprised Gute didn’t take a swing with Hicks or Tampa though.  He is clearly more confident in the secondary than I am.

Not a fan.  LOTS of missed tackles.  Oren Burks 2.0.

It is the 3rd Rd afterall. Maybe they poured one out to years past?

SO, I will say this re: drafting two heavy pursuit LB's for Hafley's Scheme

This to me says more than anything the LB unit as a whole is going to be used to bring pressure.

That's all I can say. BUT, both Cooper and Hopper are very downhill players. Hopper might have 17 missed tackles in 2023 (which is def yikes) but he also averaged more than 20 pressures a season at Mizzou. He is a pursuit player.

Nope...though I'd have loved that one. Not a fan of of Hooper. I thought MAYBE Wilson there.

Ah well...trust Gute, but Tampa was a long, physical CB sitting there.

Lloyd adds some juice though!

Quay is a pretty good pass rusher as well.

The kid from Mizzou just didn't look all that physical in the little I saw...but should be a ST demon and won't be pressed into action unless he's ready with Quay, Coop and McDuffie.

I wonder if this is a Hafley defensive grab.  Seems more (initially) to be a cover LB. First player that is quite a bit out of line with the online rankings.

So with all the day 3 picks... how many ST specialists (P, K, or LS) are taken?

Maybe the LS from NC State and a punter?

I wouldn't take a Kicker. I think you're covered with Joseph and I believe Carlson will develop, but that 'Bama kid was good under pressure.

I'd say 3 OL, 2 Florida State players(TE, CB) and...a QB.

I know. I saw that. He is a FT Mizzou Beat guy. I dunno. Just sharing. 😅

My head is bleeding it from scratching it so much after that move. MaGhee from Temple was a interesting MLB, Grey from UNC...Wilson who may not have been on their board...but is the prototypical Nickel Backer...Ah well...4 picks I love and 1 I hope I'll end up loving.

So, apparently, according to Joey the same Mizzou Football cover guy, Hopper suffered a pretty severe ankle injury in November. As a result he missed their Bowl game and was impacted as late as the Senior Bowl. So, in his opinion, he's actually more athletic than he tested and Hopper knows this.

Still, regardless, the points stand:

Project. Situational. Downhill blitz. Coverage sideline to sideline. Special Teams.

The Draft Network Ty'Ron Harper Interview HERE

Quote

JM: You’re extremely instinctive and rangy on tape. How did you develop that aspect of your game?

Ty’Ron Hopper: I played some cornerback in high school. That definitely played a huge role. I was a defensive back in high school. I didn’t know I was going to play linebacker until later on. I started at cornerback as a sophomore at high school in South Carolina. My junior year when I moved to Roswell High School, I started playing a little outside linebacker. My senior year, I played just safety and cornerback.
