I'd be curious to know if they traded down before or after they knew that DeJean was going to the Eagles.

Same here. He's just SUCH a perfect fit next to McKinney.

But, Bullard from UGA is a similar player and we added 2 picks to move down 4 spots. Must not like Kool-Aid much either.

Or he wasn't their guy anyway.

How do you know?  Just because they didn't trade up and give up extra picks?

Dont know if I like the strategy of stockpiling more draft picks when you already have a ton and a young roster....would rather they stand pat or even trade up a bit to target the guys they want left on the board in spots tonight

we don't know DeJean was their guy. We dont know he wasn't

He went one pick before theirs, so I don't know that you can make that claim.

Hopefully this doesn't end up being one of those Urlacher/Lewis type stories...

#45 is a good spot for another Cooper though. Scratch MLB off the board?

More versatility to trade back up if they should want to. AND, what I take that to mean is there was a logjam on their board so why not get value.

If they're being that passive then they were ok not getting him.

I didn't say I did know. Just like you don't know that the Eagles stole our guy and that's why we traded down.

I was kinda thinking they'd wind up consolidating some of their extra picks and nab an extra 2nd or 3rd and shed a few Day 3 picks. Maybe it's just the opposite.

Now they have 13 picks this year. Doubt that those 13 picks will make the team

I wouldn't be surprised if we move up from 58 or 88.... just way too many picks....only so many guys can make the roster...

Yeah, but they already have a ton of picks tonight in good spots where they won't need to trade up if they just stand pat.

Exactly...this isn't a roster where a dozen draft picks are all making the team - feels like they should go quality over quantity this year with all they have in the top 100

Hard to tell. The strength of this draft was widely discussed as the top 120. I am just curious to see how it all unfolds. I have no skin in the game and trust their process.

I have no idea why we need more picks

Maybe you want to be able to pick up a guy like Joe Milton later, maybe trade up?

I'd assume they had a group of players all bunched together at #41. I hope it wasn't the case Philly stole DeJean...and since I don't know, I'll assume they didn't.

To spend on trading up later.

Thats the only reason I can think of but you have to know you will want to trade up later. I could see it more trading into 25.

I still absolutely LOVE the value on the board. SO, I'm personally just fine with picking up two more picks. I know Gutey LOVES bites of the apple.

(AND apparently I love Capital letters. LOL)
