Three miserable ABs with runners on second and third and nobody out.

They cleaned up Joeys hands/flailing, now they should clean up his take pitch approach. Diving over the plate, dropping his hands and moving his feet can’t be good either right?

I can tolerate the physical mistake of popping up a ball because it happens.

What I can't tolerate is the mental mistake of Wiemer just standing there with the bat on his shoulders with 2 strikes and 1 out in a situation where he just needs to put the ball in play to score a run.

No issues with the AB from Ortiz.  Took him to a full count and just missed one and popped up.  The result sucked but not a bad AB.

Just what I was thinking. Same as last year. He is following the pitches with his body and it seems to me it leaves him unbalanced.

Brewers are 2 for 13 with RISP and the 2 hits were a bunt and infield hit that didn’t drive in runs.

Plenty of missed opportunities, though at least they got 3 runs and drove Burnes out of the game.

I had a hard time pulling for Burnes when he pitched for Milwaukee

it is now easy to root against him when he pitches elsewhere

IMHO … He’s always been a whiny complainer

No doubt, he’s a good pitcher … but I don’t consider him great

Yes, he had one great season … but overall he’s very good

Good riddance … I like Ortiz & the potential I see in Hall
